ARTogether : making ART with a large group of people

HAS Mosaic Wall

The mosaic wall was commissioned in 2014 bij HAS Hogeschool, University of Applied Science in Den Bosch. All personnel of the HAS was invited to help make the wall over a period of 4 months. The design depicts an abstract landscape, taking in mind the themes of the HAS, which is agriculture, food and green architecture. The materials were partly donated rest materials from the HAS and from personnel.

Dimensions: 9 x 2,2 m, materials: cermaic tiles, glass, cork, porcelain, wood

Garden Wall in Vught (2012)

In 2011 I wanted to cover a very ugly wall in the back of my garden. My husband laughed and said “how many years will that take?” Of course I was a bit disappointed, but I decided he was right and I needed help for this project. I planned a series of saturdays and sundays, asked all my friends if they wanted to help me, in return for a lovely lunch. Wow! In 3 months the mosaic was finished and after the winter I grouted the wall. I was hugely proud to have done it together with my friends, and I also found out that these kind of projects was something I love to do.
